Real-life study confirms that Metvix®-PDT is a cost-effective treatment
27. October 2008.
A recently published, Belgian real life practice study* confirms the efficacy and safety of Metvix demonstrated in previous randomised clinical trials (see abstract).
The study also shows that Metvix PDT is a cost-effective treatment in the management of actinic keratoses and basal cell carsinomas. The costs calculated from this study confirm the predicted cost-effectiveness shown in the original model**. This model has been adapted to local conditions and used in several countries to show that Metvix is a cost-effective treatment, among them Sweden and Norway.
Metvix is a registered trademark of Photocure ASA.
